I’m the woman who gets her heart broken,

Because I allow all the wrong people in.

I somehow manage to find the ones who need;

Need love,

Need attention,

Need someone to just fucking care.

I take them in and do what I do best,

Break myself apart to try and fix others.

I’ll see the good and avoid the red flags.

I’ll tear myself down to nothing,

Because I know what it feels like to need;

I’ll do everything I can to be for others,

What I have never once had for me.

Sitting all alone in my sadness and red flag remains,

I’ll tell myself never again will I choose the one who needs;
