Should I ever lose the war inside my head,

please know I gave this life my all.

I saw the beauty in summer sunsets

and the peace in watching snow fall.

I found kindness in strangers smiles,

felt joy in candid moments with my little.

I loved harder than anyone I ever met,

and lived for days that were simple.

I hope you don’t blame yourself,

because I left no signs to miss.

Having you in my life was enough;

I hope it’s positive when you reminisce.

Sometimes reaching out for help is hard

and hiding demons is less complicated.

Should I lose the war inside my head,

I hope our time together is celebrated.
